Banchan by Sunny is a traveling Korean carnival of sorts, by Sunny Lee, who has been popping up for the past several years throughout NYC. Each of her popups expand and contract based on the space, and is influenced by each restaurant itself. As her name suggests, her focus is on banchan, Korean side dishes meant to be shared throughout the meal, and is greatly influenced by seasonality and homestyle cooking. For two days at Hana Makgeolli in Greenpoint, Sunny will be pairing banchan, cheesy corn hotteok, bossam, and soondubu jjigae with Hana’s incredible makgeoli for the first time ever!
